For older dogs from the age of 7 (smaller breeds from the age of 8 or 9).

Older and less active dogs require a less nutritious diet with reduced levels of protein, phosphorus and salt. Reduced energy content and additional fibre prevent increased body weight. If your dog is overweight, the daily requirement should not be spread over several meals.
